I recently had the opportunity to join the Did You Earn It, or Did You Learn It? podcast for a really open and honest conversation about grief.
It was an opportunity to share my own journey and how grief has shaped not only my life, but the work I do today as a grief coach. Grief is often misunderstood. It is not something that follows a neat timeline or a clear set of stages. It can show up unexpectedly, resurface years later, and affect people in ways they don’t always recognise or feel able to talk about.
This conversation meant a lot to me because it reflects why I do this work. Grief is something we will all experience at some point, yet so many people feel alone in it. If sharing my experience helps even one person feel seen, understood, or a little less isolated, then it is worth it.
If you have experienced loss, are supporting someone who has, or simply want to understand grief on a deeper level, I hope this conversation resonates with you.
